Along with the table of contents, a short description
of this book was provided for background.
"An easily read, accessible adventure story.
The author got funding from all sorts of places to go around the
world installing solar power for remote villages — Vietnam,
Sri Lanka, Nepal, etc. — and he asks the obvious question:
if 50,000 people in developing countries can do it, why can't we?
It's cheery, well told, and fun. NOT a techie manual at all."
This book was a slight departure from the publishers'
other titles. A cross-over between an adventure narrative and a
practical guide, the cover design would need to be evocative of
both.
A photo of the author with a backpack and compass
was available, but image quality was an issue. I was asked to include
a shot of a solar panel in the design, if possible.
